WELCOME
Welcome to the Pennsylvania State Test Administration Training (PSTAT) website. The purpose of this site is to provide access to a test administration training module and resources associated with administering the Pennsylvania state tests to students in K-12 education.
On this site you will be able to register as a Test Administrator (TA), School Assessment Coordinator (SAC), or District Assessment Coordinator (DAC) and complete a training module designed specifically to help you correctly administer the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) or the Keystone Exams. Click on the Resources tab above or the link on this page to access Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) resources and documents for further information and clarification of particular aspects of test administration and training. We hope this site is helpful and welcome your feedback as a registered user.
To register and complete the training module, use the Registration link at the top of the page or use the Registration tab.
TRAINING
As explained above, this site provides a training module for general test administration of the PSSA and Keystone Exams. Registered users will learn Before, During, and After test administration guidelines and answer general questions about test administration. Upon completion of the training module, test administrators will be able to print a certificate of completion certifying successful completion of the training module. The training module provides training for general administration which is required for anyone who administers the PSSA or Keystone Exam. Registered users who administer either the PSSA or Keystone Exam to special populations should also consult the specific documentation and training available on the Pennsylvania Department of Education website for further guidelines on test administration for special populations.
DISCLAIMER
TA's, SAC's, and DAC's should thoroughly read and understand the specific Directions for Administration (DFA) for the respective test they are administering. They should also participate in and be aware of any relative administration requirements specific to current test administration found in PennLinks and/or available on the PDE website. From time to time the PDE will conduct stand-alone or unique tests that require specific administration requirements. The general training provided in the training module on this site covers basic test administration and security procedures. It is the responsibility of the DAC, SAC, and TA to be thoroughly familiar with the test administration requirements for the specific test they are administering.
